Notifications and push messages to guards

Read incident notifications behind the bell, mark them read or unread, and send a push message to your guards' phones.

On this page

The bell in the top bar collects the incidents your guards report in the mobile app. Every user in your company gets a notification for each incident, plus an email about it.

Check the bell

A red number on the bell shows how many notifications you haven't read yet.

  1. Click the bell to see the latest notifications. Opening the list marks them as read.
  2. Click a notification to open it in your inbox, or click View all notifications at the bottom.

Work through the inbox

The Notifications page lists everything, newest first. Every notification on the page you are looking at is marked as read when you open it.

  • Click Unread to see only what you haven't read, or All to see everything again.
  • Click View incident to open the incident the notification is about.
  • Click Mark as unread to keep a notification flagged for later, or Mark as read to clear it.
  • Click Delete to remove a notification from your inbox. The incident itself is not deleted.
  • Click Mark all as read at the top to clear every unread notification at once.

Notification settings at the top opens the page for SMS and email alerts. See SMS and email incident alerts.

Send a push message to your guards

Use this to reach guards on their phones, for example to announce a change of plan.

  1. Open Send Push Notification.
  2. Under Notification Type, choose General, Alert or Announcement.
  3. Enter a Title (up to 100 characters) and a Message (up to 500 characters).
  4. Under Recipients, choose All Active Guards, or choose Specific Guards and tick the guards under Select Guards.
  5. Click Send Notification.

A message at the top tells you how many guards it reached.

Who receives push messages

Only active guards who have signed in to the mobile app on their phone and kept notifications turned on receive the message. Guards who don't meet all three are left out of the Select Guards list.
