Follow and review patrols

See which guards are patrolling right now, then check a finished patrol's scans, missed waypoints, compliance and route deviations.

On this page

Every time a guard starts a patrol in the mobile app, QRPatrol records a patrol session: who walked it, which route and car they used, every checkpoint they scanned and how long it took. You can follow the patrols that are running now and go back to any finished one.

See who is patrolling now

  1. In the sidebar, open Patrols and click Patrol Sessions.
  2. Click Active Patrols.

The page lists Active Patrols and Paused Patrols, with the guard, Vehicle, Route / Building, when they Started, the time Elapsed, Distance so far and QR Scans. It does not update by itself: click Refresh to load the latest numbers.

To watch patrol cars move on a map instead, open the Live Map.

Find a past patrol

  1. Open Patrol Sessions.
  2. Check the cards at the top for today's activity: Today, Scans Today and Avg Compliance.
  3. Search by guard, car or route, or click Filters. Useful ones are Route Completion, Waypoint Coverage (choose Missed Waypoints to find patrols that skipped a stop) and Incidents.
  4. Click View on the patrol you want.

Read a patrol

The top of the page shows the Status, Type, when it Started and Ended, followed by the key numbers:

Card What it tells you
Duration, Distance, Avg Speed How long the patrol took and how far the guard went.
Compliance How closely the guard followed the route. Good is 80% or more, Fair is 60% to 79%, Poor is below 60%.
QR Scans How many checkpoints were scanned.
Waypoints Waypoints visited out of the total on the route. If the first number is lower, the guard missed some.
Deviations How many times the guard left the route.

Under Patrol Details you see the Guard, the Route and its building, and the Vehicle. Below that, the page lists what happened, in order. Each table only appears when it has something in it:

  • Checkpoint Scans: every scan with its time and Distance from the checkpoint. Not Verified means the guard's phone was further from the checkpoint than the building allows. See Add a building for how to set that distance.
  • Waypoint Visits: each waypoint on the route, in the order the guard reached it. Out of Order means the visit did not count: the guard was too far from the waypoint, or reached it out of sequence on a route that has to be walked in order.
  • Route Deviations: each time the guard left the route, with how far and when.

Export or delete patrols

On Patrol Sessions, tick the boxes next to the patrols. In the bar that appears, choose Export CSV to download them, or Delete to remove them.

Deleting is permanent

Deleting a patrol also deletes its GPS trail, waypoint visits and scan history. Export it first if you might need it later.
